| D-50 vs 40 and 60? I have a Nikon D50 and I'm being told it's already outdated. Are the newer versions that much better, and are they worth the money? |

I would worry more about lenses if my camera still does a good job. I have a 20d canon and there are lots of cameras that come out every year. But my camera still over exceeds what I need and my lenses never out date. Get back to us on what your needs are and if your camera still works well.

| Re: D-50 vs 40 and 60? Is there some capability in the newer models you feel would help you take better images? Do you want to make bigger prints than you can with your current camera's resolution? Is a larger LCD display or other feature worth the upgrade cost? For the most part I think the first question is the most important one, if a new camera is not going to enable you to take better images then what are you paying for? (Full disclosure - I admit I don't always take my own advice, trying to stay "current" is both expensive and addictive).

| Re: D-50 vs 40 and 60? actually i'm satisfied with the D50 - but i do have a "newby" question. Can you use the LCD display to see the subject of your photo? I only seem to be able to use it to view the photos I've taken. |
