Some recent images from an Omaha Lancers hockey game. All images were taken with a Canon 30D and 70-200mm lens. I played around with taking slow speed images in addition to the normal action shots. Suggestions, critiques and comments welcomed!

Nice group, the Motion photos are different.I have tried indoor hockey and never had luck with it. I noticed the head shot. I really like head shots when there is a lot of gear involved I like to see the eyes. Thanks for posting a great set of photos!

Yeah, hockey can be challenging to shoot. Thought I'd try some motion blur shots to see if I could come up with anything cool, something more creative than the sma e pics over and over. I like the third blurred one, I think it captures some of the motion and intensity of the game.
